AIRCARE Fundraiser in Remembrance of Morissa Moniz and Awareness of Domestic Violence

On Remembrance Day, an employee at AIRCARE Limited (AIRCARE) tragically lost her life.

To celebrate the life of Morissa Moniz and to raise awareness of domestic violence, AIRCARE employees wore purple and raised funds to support the Women’s Resource Center. The total amount donated in honour of Morissa was $3,636.00.

Judith Uddin, President of AG Holdings said: “Morissa had only been with our Company a short time but had made a big impact and was a valued member of our team. Our entire team wanted to do something to remember her, and it was decided that contributing to the Women’s Resource Center in her name would be an appropriate initiative. The donation will support women who are facing life’s challenges, including those who may be facing abuse and difficult situations at home as well. We will always remember and honour Morissa and continue to support all our staff.”

Tina Laws, Executive director at Women’s Resource Center said: “Thank you for your recent gift to honour the memory of Ms. Morissa Moniz. May it give you comfort to know that your donation makes a difference in the lives of women across the island. With your generous support the Women’s Resource Centre will continue to empower women and their families in the community. Please pass on our thanks to all those who donated in memory of Ms. Moniz. She holds a special place in the lives of many and will not be forgotten.”
